It pleases me to see that you are taking your stewardship of something I personally consider priceless so seriously.

Restoration and conservation are necessary expenses if we want to preserve our collectibles and original paintings. But you already know that.

A Light Haired Woman Will Cross Your Path is actually one of my favorites, since I like Norman Rockwell's early paintings the best. Also his humor was so very innocent at that point of his career.

This Life magazine cover usually shows up on eBay every couple of months. Rockwell's Life magazine covers fairly common in the current marketplace.

The real tricky part, though, is finding it in reasonably good condition.

Magazines and covers that are that old usually have one or more flaws, sometimes serious enough to detract from the image itself. After all, 90 years ago is a long time, especially for paper.

You will probably eventually find a suitable copy within 6 months if you search regularly enough.

Many covers also appear as color prints in Rockwell commentary books. Unfortunately this painting has only been reproduced on the cover of that Life magazine.

You might also check with Rockwell licensing. They have a lot of old Life covers listed on their website, though I did not see this one. They may have a print of this in stock.
