Norman Rockwell's prowess at touching his viewer's emotions was prized not only by magazine art editors, but also by advertisers. Rockwell's advertising career started in 1914 with a Heinz ad in the Boy Scout Handbook and ended 64 years later in 1976 with Lancaster Turkeys.
