Boy with Fishing Pole by Norman RockwellAugust 1919 Issue of St. NicholasBoy with Fishing Pole, this Norman Rockwell painting, appeared on the cover of St. Nicholas published August 1919. That hat has appeared on the covers of many magazines, including The Country Gentleman, The Saturday Evening Post and even Farm And Fireside. What is the boy holding inside his left hand? Maybe he is carrying his bait in that hand. The boy is looking straight at us. He looks as if to say, "Let's go fishing!" My answer to that is, "Yeah, let's go!" .
Remember to check back often.
