Simply put , the piece work for me emotes my heart. The first time I saw this piece I felt empathy for the World War 1 soldier it draws upon true bonds of brotherhood. One that soldiers and only soldiers can truly feel. For me when I see the subjects smile it is clear to me that in his expression there is the same joy I have felt being in the same arena.
There is nothing like getting that care package in any military situation. It shows in his expression what transpires in a soldiers heart at that moment.
